Antony and Cleopatra

- a play (c. 1607) by William Shakespeare about the true story of the great love between the Roman general Mark Antony and Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt. At the end, when Mark Antony has been defeated in battle, they both kill themselves, Antony by falling on his sword and Cleopatra by letting a poisonous snake bite her.
