Indiana Jones

- a character played by Harrison Ford in a series of successful adventure films directed by Steven Spielberg. They are Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). Jones is an archaeologist (= a person who studies ancient history by examining objects found under the ground) and regularly gets into exciting, dangerous and sometimes humorous situations.
