- (1917-2001) a US newspaper owner who was one of America's most powerful women. She published the Washington Post from 1968 to 1978 (during the time it discovered Watergate), and controlled The Washington Post Company which owns Newsweek magazine. Graham won a Pulitzer Prize in 1998 for her book about her life, Personal History.
