Key West
/ˌkiː ˈwest/
/ˌkiː ˈwest/
- the last island and town of the Florida Keys. It is the most southern US town and is closer to Havana, Cuba, than to Miami. Ernest Hemingway and John James Audubon lived there, and President Truman had a 'summer White House' on Key West for holidays. People who live there are called ' conchs' after the local shellfish. Many artists live there.
