Terry Wogan

- (1938-2016) an Irish radio and television presenter. He was one of the first disc jockeys on Radio 1 when it opened in 1967, and later had his own chat show on BBC television (1984-92). He had a morning show on BBC Radio 2, Wake Up to Wogan (1993-2009), and was the presenter on British television of the Eurovision Song Contest (1971-2008), in which he gently made fun of the whole event. He was made a knight in 2005.
