苏格兰长老会 CultureThe Church of Scotland was started by John Knox and Andrew Melville in 1560, and officially accepted in 1690. It does not have bishops like the Church of England, and the members of its clergy are called ministers, rather than priests. Both men and women can be ministers. The churches of the Church of Scotland are run by a minister and a group of senior church members called elders. This system is known as Presbyterianism. see also the Episcopal Church, the Free Church of Scotland, Moderator of the Church of ScotlandTopics Religion and festivalsc2
