The Comedy of Errors
/ðə ˌkɒmədi əv ˈerəz/
/ðə ˌkɑːmədi əv ˈerərz/
- the first of Shakespeare's comedy plays (c. 1593). It is about a pair of twins (= children of the same mother born at the same time), both called Antipholus, who employ another pair of twins, both called Dromio. None of the twins know of their twin brothers because they were separated at birth, so there is great confusion when they all come by chance to the same city.
