[plural]- different lists of share prices on the London Stock Exchange that are published every day in the Financial Times. They are used to show general trends in the British financial markets. The best known is the FTSE 100-Share Index, which gives the share values of the 100 largest British companies traded on the London Stock Exchange. The newspaper also publishes the FTSE All-Share Index, which gives the share values of almost all British companies.
