- a line of about 20 islands to the west of the southern end of Florida. The islands are connected by the world's longest road over water, the Overseas Highway, that runs 160 miles/256 kilometres. The best-known Keys are Key West and Key Largo. The islands are popular with tourists and people who like fishing.
