- a US museum of air and space travel which is part of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. Its displays include the Wright Flyer (the first aircraft to fly successfully), Charles Lindbergh's plane Spirit of St Louis, Enola Gay (the US plane that dropped the first atomic bomb), the only surviving section of Apollo 11, which made the first space flight to the moon, and a piece of rock brought back from the moon.
