the Royal Mint /ðə ˌrɔɪəl ˈmɪnt/ /ðə ˌrɔɪəl ˈmɪnt/ - the company owned by the British government that is responsible for making all the coins used in Britain. It also makes coins for many other countries, and produces military and prize medals. Paper money is made by the Bank of England.
