Victor Silvester /ˌvɪktə sɪlˈvestə(r)/ /ˌvɪktər sɪlˈvestər/ - (1900-78) an English popular music band leader in the 1930s and 1940s. He later became famous on radio for playing dance tunes requested by people in countries all round the world.
