- a range of soups produced by the US Campbell Soup Company and usually sold in cans. They were first made in 1897 and were advertised for a long time by two children with round faces called the Campbell Kids. The company's main office is in Camden, New Jersey, and it also makes sauces, ready meals (= meals that you buy already cooked) and many other food products.
