Colemanballs |
| 释义 |
Colemanballs noun /ˈkəʊlmənbɔːlz/ /ˈkəʊlmənbɔːlz/ [plural] (British English) - the funny things that people, especially sports commentators sometimes say by mistake when they are excited and speaking fast. The word was invented by the magazine Private Eye and named after David Coleman (1926-2013), who often made this type of mistake. It was the title of the magazine's regular list of the funniest examples.科尔曼球:人们,尤其是体育评论员,在兴奋和快速说话时有时会误说一些有趣的事情。这个词是由《私人之眼》杂志发明的,并以经常犯此类错误的大卫·科尔曼(David Coleman,1926-2013)的名字命名。这是该杂志定期列出的最有趣的例子的标题。“He just can't believe what isn't happening to him!”
