Dimitri Tiomkin /dəˌmiːtri ˈtjɒmkɪn/ /dəˌmiːtri ˈtjɑːmkɪn/ - (1894-1979) a US composer of film music. He was born in Russia and moved to the US in 1925. He won Oscars for High Noon, The High and the Mighty (1954) and The Old Man and the Sea (1958).
