- a US comic strip by Gary Trudeau which appears in many newspapers and which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1975. It is well known for its liberal comments about American politics and society and often makes fun of politicians. Characters include Michael Doonesbury who runs a computer business with his family, Mark Slackmeyer, an openly gay radio commentator and Zonker Harris the hippy.
