- (1860-1926) a famous US sharpshooter (= expert at shooting accurately). Her popular name was ‘Little Sure Shot’, because she was less than 5 feet/1.53 metres tall. She and her husband Frank Butler, also a sharpshooter, performed in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. The musical play and film Annie Get Your Gun was based on her life.
