Jethro Tull /ˌdʒeθrəʊ ˈtʌl/ /ˌdʒeθrəʊ ˈtʌl/ - (1674-1741) an English farmer who invented the 'seed drill', a piece of agricultural equipment that made it possible for agricultural production to become mechanical. It was pulled by a horse, sowed (= planted) three rows of seed at the same time and removed weeds.
