Walter Lippmann

- (1889-1974) a US journalist. He wrote a regular political column called Today and Tomorrow, which appeared in newspapers around the world. He wrote for the New York Herald-Tribune (1931-62) and then for the Washington Post (1962-7), and won the Pulitzer Prize twice. Lippman also helped to establish the magazine New Republic in 1914.
